As a rising manager, you would be required to think dynamically and strategically and come up with innovative ideas to improve your company's business and take it to new heights. OPSTRAT gives you an opportunity to test your mettle against the nation's best minds and set new benchmarks. This event is crafted to challenge your knowledge and application capabilities in Operations & Strategic management.
The preliminary round is a 30 minute online crossword testing various concepts from Operations & Strategic Management.
The top six teams would be shortlisted and invited to SIBM-Pune campus to participate in the on-campus rounds consisting of Case study analysis (Be a Rebel!), Quizzes (Chase the Wind!) and Strategy-based game (Kiss the Glory!).
ROUND 1: CROSSWORD
• A password protected file will be provided 15 minutes before the round starts and the password will be communicated at the start time (2200 hours on 18th January 2012)
• Duration of the crossword will be 30 minutes (till 2230 hours on 18th January 2012)
• Top 6 teams will be short listed and invited to SIBM-Pune campus to participate in the on-campus rounds.
• In case of tie, the crossword completion time of the respective teams will be the deciding factor.
• Only one of the team members will be allowed to submit the answers. Guidelines:

1. Event is only open to students from B-Schools.
2. Team size should be 3 members.
3. Participants in a team should be from the same institute.
4. No participant should be a part of more than one team.
5. Each team can submit only one entry for the competition.
6. Event registration will start on 0000 hours (IST), 5th January 2012.
7. There must be strictly no IPR infringements in the submissions. On discovery of such infringements, the respective team(s) will be disqualified with immediate effect.
8. The Terms and Conditions of participation are subject to change at any time without specific notice. The amended Terms and Conditions of entry will be effective immediately upon being posted on the website. It is the sole responsibility of the teams to regularly visit the Website to read any changes
9. The decisions of the organizers of the contest and the panel of judges will be final and binding on all the participants

Premier Rio: India's first compact SUV. It makes a common drive, special. It makes a routine day, memorable. Rio is targetted as a luxury mini-SUV that will act as an alternative to premium B-segment hatchbacks, as well as SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki Gypsy and Mahindra Bolero Invader and Scorpio M2Di.The Premier Rio will be offered initially at 20 dealerships across the country and it plans to ramp that number up in the coming months. These dealerships will be different from those that sell Premier commercial vehicles - the Roadstar and the Sigma.Premier's new-SUV is developed using kits supplied by Zotye in China, and is based on the first-generation Daihatsu Terios.
